Job summary

SEI's Investment Manager Services Division is expanding its Alternative Investment Funds team. The Fund Accounting Supervisor will act as the record keeper for hedge and private equity funds, train and supervise accounting analysts, and liaise with investment managers to deliver accurate accounting packages.

Remote position in the United States; requires a BA/BS in business or related field, 2 years fund services experience, strong Excel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client support via email/phone.
• Experience training and supervising accounting analysts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as intermediary between funds and investment managers; record keeper for hedge and private equity funds.
• Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings; perform NAV reconciliations and provide accounting reports.
• Coordinate and support year-end audits in accordance with GAAP; perform due diligence for regulatory compliance.
• Train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and responsibilities.
• Communicate fund transactions to clients and service providers; prepare comprehensive accounting packages.
• Assist manager with performance appraisals, team development, and staffing interviews.
