Job summary

SEI is seeking a Fund Accounting Supervisor to lead the Alternative Investment Funds team within the Investment Manager Services Division (IMS). You will act as the official record keeper for hedge and private equity funds, train accounting analysts, and coordinate with investment managers to deliver accurate accounting packages.

You will reconcile NAVs, produce accounting reports, and support year-end audits while ensuring compliance with government regulations.

Qualifications

• BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
• The self-motivation, organization and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as you will primarily support your clients through email and/or phone calls
• Strong customer service skills as you will be communicating daily with your clients and other service providers

Responsibilities

• Use accounting skills to price and maintain records for hedge and private equity holdings using external pricing resources
• Perform timely reconciliations of Net Asset Values and generate accounting reports
• Communicate fund transactions to clients and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to provide thorough accounting packages
• Serve as record keeper and support year-end audits in accordance with GAAP
• Conduct due-diligence to ensure client compliance with laws and regulations
• Train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures and responsibilities
• Assist manager with performance appraisals, one-on-ones and career development for analysts
• Ensure staffing requirements by participating in analyst interviews
• Foster a team environment and pursue process improvements for accuracy and efficiency
