Job summary

GiveCampus is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Online Giving team. You will own features and small-to-medium projects within the pod, collaborating with your Tech Lead, Product Manager, and Designer to design solutions and ship code donors rely on to fund scholarships and programs.

You will work across the stack, building donor-facing forms, payment flows, and admin tools with a focus on accuracy and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on development experience.
• Full-stack proficiency with a modern front-end and backend framework.
• Experience contributing to technical design discussions and breaking down features.
• Solid SQL database skills: schema design, query optimization, data integrity.
• Experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Test-driven mindset: unit, integration, and E2E testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good debugging instincts, including production environments.
• Clear communication, comfortable with ambiguity and ownership.
• User-focused mindset: impact on donors and school outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain donor-facing giving forms, pages, and admin tools with a focus on conversion and mobile-first design.
• Hardening payment flows across Stripe, ACH, and digital wallets with reliability and observability.
• Work across the full stack from UI to backend services and database queries.
• Own features end-to-end: design, breakdown, coding, tests, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with Tech Lead, Product Manager, Designer, and engineers to translate user needs into solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, story scoping, and acceptance criteria reviews.
• Write clean, well-tested code and engage in code reviews.
• Contribute to team initiatives like technical debt refinement and coding standards.
• Assist with interviewing and onboarding as the team grows.
• Support the platform on a rotational basis, including on-call rotation and production support.
