Job summary

GiveCampus, the world's leading fundraising platform for educational institutions, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Online Giving team. You will own features end-to-end, from UI components to backend services, focusing on conversion, accessibility, and mobile-first design.

You'll work with Rails/React, build donor-facing forms, ensure reliable payment flows across Stripe, ACH, and digital wallets, and contribute to a high-impact product used by schools to fund scholarships and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Full-stack proficiency with a modern frontend framework (React or Vue.js) plus a backend language/framework (Rails, Node.js, Python, or similar). Rails and React experience preferred.
• Experience contributing to technical design discussions and breaking down features into well-scoped, incrementally shippable work.
• Solid SQL database skills: schema design, query writing and optimization, data integrity.
• Experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs and cloud CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build donor-facing forms and pages with mobile-first design and accessibility.
• Harden payment flows across Stripe, ACH, and Digital Wallets with reliability and observability.
• Work across the full stack from UI components to backend services to database queries.
• Own features end-to-end: design, breakdown, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with your pod's Tech Lead, Product Manager, Designer, and fellow engineers to translate needs into solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, story scoping, and estimation with clear acceptance criteria.
• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code and engage in thoughtful code reviews.
• Support the platform on rotation, including on-call, payments reconciliation, and reporting fixes.
