Block, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Full Stack Engineer for the Justice Engineering team.

You will design, build, and operate services that automate handling legal and regulatory requests, with ownership from design to deployment across backend systems, internal tools, and external-facing pipelines. Join a small team with a large surface area, shaping future AI-powered agents, secure portals for external requesters, and platform evolution used by other Block teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building production software end-to-end.
• Full stack experience across backend and frontend.
• Ability to discuss tradeoffs and system design decisions.
• Experience with privacy, security, or regulatory requirements.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services across microservice architectures.
• Own features end to end from design through testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with Counsel, Compliance, and Operations on workflows.
• Maintain on-call readiness and incident response.
• Reduce toil and modernize services for reliability.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve velocity and quality.
• Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.
