Job summary

General Legal is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to drive AI-enabled contract workflows from concept to production, owning major features end-to-end. You will collaborate with lawyers and product teams to ship reliable software at pace and iterate with users.

This is a ground-floor opportunity with significant ownership and potential to grow into leadership as the platform scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production web apps.
• Ability to work across frontend and backend.
• Eligible to work in the US, and able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days a week in our SF or NY office locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled products and features end-to-end using an AI-enabled development process.
• Own major technical projects from initial idea through production deployment.
• Work across the frontend, backend, APIs, databases, integrations, and infrastructure as needed.
• Build intuitive interfaces for complex AI-powered workflows.
• Work closely with lawyers and other users to rapidly understand problems and ship solutions.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions that allow us to move quickly without sacrificing reliability.
• Be proactive and come up with ideas on how to build our products better.
• Help establish engineering practices and technical standards as the team grows.
