Job summary

Burq, Inc. is seeking a highly capable Full-stack Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of features across backend services and web applications.

You will build scalable REST APIs, integrate with customer systems, and contribute to the Burq Dashboard and product surfaces used by enterprise retailers. You’ll work AI-native, applying tools daily to move faster, debug smarter, and improve reliability under real operational load.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Proven experience with Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript on the backend.
• Ability to build web apps with React or a modern framework.
• Skilled in designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Comfortable with SQL/NoSQL and AWS.
• Experience integrating with third‑party systems and handling failures.
• Strong ownership mindset and accountability.
• AI-native: daily use of AI tools in development.
• Clear, direct communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and delivery of complex features across backend services and web applications.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and webhooks for enterprise integrations.
• Lead integrations from scoping to go‑live with Product, Success, and customer engineering teams.
• Improve Burq Dashboard using data and customer feedback.
• Ensure production quality: monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews and design input.
• Use AI tools daily for development, testing, and debugging.
