Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer (Edifecs) for a 100% remote role within the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. This full-time position requires hands-on EDIFECS experience and a strong background in testing across the SDLC.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, a security‑clearance readiness (Public Trust), and proven skills in manual and automated testing, JIRA, GitHub Actions, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex software projects with high quality.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and SDLC understanding.
• Proficient in writing/executing test cases, scripts, and plans.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Git/SVN version control.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Knowledge of EDIFECS and X12 workflows is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute test plans and test procedures.
• Write test cases/scripts and identify data for scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and Leads.
• Perform and lead tests to ensure defect-free operation.
• Document/test results and support issue resolution.
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
