Job summary

Levy Tax is seeking a detail-oriented Client Accounting Bookkeeper for a 100% remote, full-time role supporting a portfolio of small to mid-sized business clients across the United States.

You will perform full-cycle monthly bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, GAAP compliance, and timely delivery while communicating with clients in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or client accounting experience.
• Experience with small to mid-sized businesses preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
• Communicate with clients to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to accounting best practices and internal processes
