Job summary
Grafana Labs seeks a Senior Engineering Manager for the Frontend to guide the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, driving performance and customer outcomes. You’ll mentor senior engineers, collaborate with Product and Design, and advance AI-enabled development across OSS and Enterprise.
You will champion engineering standards, plan hiring, and shape roadmaps while delivering high-quality frontend experiences at scale in a remote, globally distributed environment.
Qualifications
- Experience leading senior engineers and developing technical leaders.
- Strong background in modern web/frontend systems.
- Proven ability to turn cross-team problems into priorities and measurable results.
- Excellent written communication for remote, global teams.
- Understanding of open-source development and Cloud-first delivery.
- Practical experience applying AI and automation in leadership.
Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the performance of two distributed engineering squads: set expectations and coach team members.
- Own hiring and team planning across both squads to align capacity with priorities.
- Lead discovery with customers and community to shape roadmaps and priorities.
- Partner with Product, Design and engineering leaders to set priorities and resolve dependencies.
- Own delivery from discovery to rollout and measurement, flag risks early.
- Use AI to synthesize research, inform roadmap, and streamline coordination.
- Lead adoption of AI and automation across workflows to improve speed and quality.
