Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a frontend leadership role within the Grafana Frontend/DataViz squad. This remote, globally distributed team builds dashboards and visualizations using TypeScript, React, uPlot, and ECharts, delivering open-source software across Grafana Cloud and the platform.

As a leader, you will guide multi-quarter initiatives, mentor engineers, handle on-call incidents, and collaborate across squads to drive design and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers. Raise the engineering bar through code review, design feedback, pairing on hard problems, and writing that leaves the team better than you found it.
• Participate in on-call for the services you help build, and be a force multiplier in incident response and post-incident learning.
• Provide technical support in customer escalations and help us identify areas of high friction to address.
• Cross-squad collaboration: Represent the team's work outside the team, write the design proposals, run the demos, and make the case for our roadmap in cross-team discussion.
