Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the BAS solution. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires Public Trust clearance.

The candidate will build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAC or web technologies, review requirements, develop interactive UI/UX components, and optimize performance. Strong JS, REST APIs, and OO design are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS)
• REST APIs experience creating/consuming APIs; JSON/XML
• Strong OO programming/design and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting apps using SAC or other web technologies (JavaScript)
• Review requirements and interface designs
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components
• Monitor and improve front-end performance
• Document application changes and updates
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility
