Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer – Front End Web Applications to design, build, support, and implement the BAS SaaS solution for government-related clients. The role is remote, supporting a Washington, DC-based customer and requires Public Trust clearance.

The engineer will develop features using SAC Analytics Designer or standard web technologies, focusing on interactive UI/UX components and high performance across enterprise dashboards and planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of front-end software engineering experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
• Experience with REST APIs and data formats such as XML and JSON.
• Strong OO programming/design and debugging skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team with strong communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise web applications and dashboards using JavaScript/HTML5/CSS.
• Review requirements and interface designs to implement features.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance for scalability and speed.
• Document application changes and updates for maintainability.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility and implementation.
