Job summary

Edconic is seeking a seasoned Front-End Developer to own build and maintenance of our digital properties, from school websites to landing pages. You’ll work with designers, IT, and MarTech to deliver fast, accessible, brand-faithful experiences on a modern WordPress stack.

You’ll be one of two developers, reporting to the Director of Web Development, with significant ownership and limited process overhead. Fully remote in the US, occasional travel to our New York office may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience building WordPress themes and modern block development.
• Ability to work independently in a small two-developer team with minimal process overhead.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain public-facing websites, microsites, and landing pages with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate designs into responsive pages faithful to brands.
• Develop custom WordPress themes across modern blocks and classical PHP templates.
• Help shape coding standards, tooling, and migration to the modern stack.
• Stay current on web standards and contribute ideas where they fit.
