Job summary

Edconic is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to join our web team, owning Edconic digital properties—from school websites to landing pages and email templates. You’ll collaborate with designers, IT, and MarTech to deliver solutions that protect each brand’s identity.

You’ll be one of two developers, with real ownership, contributing to coding standards and migrating sites toward a modern WordPress stack built with ACF blocks and theme.json.

Qualifications

• Build a custom WordPress theme from scratch using PHP templates and Advanced Custom Fields.
• Comfortable working in Git/GitHub with pull requests and code reviews, and with npm-based build tools and the command line.
• Experience building and testing HTML emails.
• Strong UX/UI sensibilities and attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-directed working style with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain public-facing websites, micro-sites, and landing pages in collaboration with our lead developer, IT, and MarTech.
• Translate designs into polished, responsive pages that stay true to each brand.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes across both stacks: modern block-based builds and established classic themes.
• Collaborate with the lead developer to shape coding standards, tooling, and workflow.
• Stay current on emerging web standards and bring ideas to the table where they fit.
