Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Mid-level Front End Developer to join our team. The role focuses on front-end design, development, and UI/UX improvements, with emphasis on DoD DevSecOps practices and cloud/container technologies.

The position is remote and requires an active Secret clearance and strong experience in TypeScript, Angular or React, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes within a government or defense context.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance or higher required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's may substitute for 2 years experience.
• 7+ years software development in OO and scripting languages with DevSecOps tools.
• Experience planning, conducting, and documenting system tests per project standards.
• 3+ years using Jira for issue tracking.
• 3+ years testing web applications.
• 3+ years in software development programs or projects.
• 3+ years using TypeScript in Angular or React.
• Cloud environment development experience.
• Containerized environments like Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5+ years with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5+ years with at least five tools: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end design and development tasks including design drawings, mockups, and documentation.
• Modify GUI components, optimize navigation, and improve user-facing features.
• Engage in agile, user-centric application design to ensure UI/UX quality.
• Generate wireframes and mockups considering multiple user personas.
• Operate in DoD DevSecOps environments and support compliance requirements.
