Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Mid-level Front End Developer to join our team. The role includes front-end design, development, and optimization of GUI elements, with a focus on user-centric UI/UX and Agile processes.

A Secret clearance is required, along with a bachelor’s degree and multiple years of software development experience. The position is remote and targets DoD DevSecOps integration, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab expertise.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 7 years of software development experience in OO and scripting languages with DevSecOps, microservices, containers.
• Experience in planning, conducting, and documenting tests to verify operability and standards compliance.
• 3 years of experience with Jira.
• 3 years of experience testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience in software development programs or projects.
• 3 years’ experience using TypeScript in Angular or React.
• Cloud environment development experience.
• Containerized environment development with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Experience with at least five of the following: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent and relevant front-end design and development experience.
• Agile, user-centric application design with strong UI/UX standards.
• Wireframe/mockup generation considering multiple user personas.
• UX design tool experience (e.g., Sketch, InVision).

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end design and development tasks including technical design drawings, mockups, and wireframes.
• Plan and implement modifications to GUIs, build UI elements, and optimize navigation for user-facing features.
• Engage in agile, user-centric design to ensure solid UI/UX standards.
• Generate system wireframes and mockups considering multiple user personas.
• Utilize UX tools like Sketch and InVision to support design work.
