Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill's Community Development group in White River Junction, VT is seeking a civil engineering intern to assist design teams on site design projects. This 12-week paid summer program offers real client project experience, mentorship, and hands-on work with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and other design tools.

You will gain exposure to permitting processes, construction administration support, and a collaborative team environment that values creativity and balance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Proficiency with MS Office programs
• Prior experience with CAD software preferred
• Ability to perform field work
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
• Provide construction administration support
• Execute design‑related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
