Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill in Williston, VT is seeking a civil engineering intern to assist design teams on site design projects. The 12-week paid summer program offers hands-on experience with community development projects and mentorship from our diverse technical experts.

You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, within the Community Development group, gaining exposure to permitting, CAD tools, and real client work. A strong engineering foundation and GPA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Prior experience with CAD software preferred.
• Ability to perform field work.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
• Provide construction administration support
• Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
