Job summary

Tenkara is hiring a Freight Broker to build and manage shipper accounts while driving revenue growth. You will own the full customer lifecycle—from prospecting and quoting through delivery coordination—serving as the trusted point of contact for your clients.

This remote role is critical to scaling our shipper-focused brokerage business. As a Freight Broker, you will prospect, win new shipper accounts, quote competitively, negotiate rates, coordinate capacity with carriers, and maintain ongoing

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation.
• Track record of developing customer relationships and closing deals.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline remotely.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and win new shipper accounts through outreach and relationship building.
• Understand freight lanes, volumes, service requirements, and pricing.
• Quote freight, negotiate rates, and secure shipments.
• Coordinate with carrier operations to arrange capacity and ensure reliable service.
• Maintain regular communication and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and pursue additional freight opportunities within existing accounts.
