Job summary

Movement CFO is seeking a Fractional CFO to partner with leadership in servicing mission-driven clients. You will provide executive-level guidance across budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial reporting, risk management, and funding strategy.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years nonprofit financial leadership, deep GAAP and fund accounting knowledge, and the ability to translate complex numbers into clear insights for executives and boards.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive nonprofit financial leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, fund accounting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and long-term financial planning.
• Proven ability to advise executives, boards, and finance committees and communicate with non-financial audiences.
• Experience overseeing audits, Form 990, and grant management.
• Proficiency with nonprofit accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise executive leaders and boards on financial strategy and risk.
• Align financial decisions with mission, values and priorities.
