Job summary

CS Group USA is seeking a capable FPGA Development Engineer with real-time embedded systems experience to lead requirements, design and development for safety-critical airborne systems.

The role offers flexibility with onsite (CT), hybrid, or full remote work, and requires collaboration across hardware, software, verification, and certification teams to ensure DO-254 compliance and successful certification efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FPGA, digital hardware or embedded systems experience.
• Strong knowledge of embedded hardware architectures and design processes.
• Proficient in VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required; travel up to two weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform end-to-end FPGA development activities for embedded aerospace and defense systems from concept to integration.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
• Ensure compliance of FPGA development artifacts with DO-254 and AC 20-152A.
• Understand interfacing between Hardware and FPGA.
• Understand interfacing between Software and FPGA.
• Maintain traceability and align hardware design with device requirements.
• Support development efforts to schedules and quality objectives; interface with stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to junior engineers.
