Job summary

CS Group USA seeks a capable FPGA Development Engineer to lead requirements, design, and development for safety-critical airborne systems. The role focuses on implementing strategies aligned with DO-254 objectives and certifiable hardware artifacts.

The position offers flexibility with onsite (CT), hybrid, or fully remote work arrangements and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and verification groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of FPGA, programmable logic, digital hardware, or embedded systems experience.
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware architectures, VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform end-to-end FPGA development for embedded aerospace and defense systems from concept to integration.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, verification, and certification teams.
  • Ensure FPGA development artifacts comply with DO-254 and AC 20-152A objectives.
  • Maintain interfaces between Hardware and FPGA, and between Software and FPGA.
  • Ensure traceability and alignment with device-level requirements.
  • Support development schedules and quality objectives, communicating status to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
