Job summary

EdCast is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to partner with Engineering, Product, and Tech Operations. You will own the financial view of R&D, cloud hosting, and product-level margins, delivering timely reports and decision-ready insights grounded in unit economics.

You will lead budgeting and forecasting for R&D and engineering, build ROI cases, model hosting costs, and drive efficiency through data pipelines and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of corporate FP&A experience, ideally supporting Engineering, Technical Operations, or Product teams in SaaS/tech.
• Strong SaaS economics knowledge: gross margin, cost of sales, unit economics.
• Experience modeling cloud/hosting costs and familiarity with cloud pricing constructs.
• Proven ability to build cost allocation models and product-level P&Ls with GAAP foundations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Product and Technical Operations to translate roadmaps into financial plans.
• Own R&D and Engineering budgeting/forecasting (headcount, contractors, tooling, vendor spend).
• Build business cases for ROI, build-vs-buy, migrations and vendor rationalization.
• Support capitalization analyses and track engineering efficiency metrics.
• Model hosting costs and cost of sales vs opex; manage hosting/cloud cost model.
• Develop product-level P&Ls and allocation methodologies for shared costs.
• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and Board/CFO reporting.
• Drive automation, data pipelines, and dashboards linking cloud billing, usage data, and GL.
