Job summary

Oliver James Group partners with a growing specialty insurance business to recruit an FP&A Manager who will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting. This highly visible role collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Actuarial, Distribution, and senior leadership to translate complex data into actionable insights while working remotely within the specialty insurance space.

You will own monthly close, drive process improvements, and guide cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• 2+ years in a Manager or Lead-level capacity.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience presenting financial results to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Insurance, speciality insurance, or reinsurance industry experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, strategic planning, and rolling forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis across insurance operations and business performance.
• Own monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and financial insights.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic and ad hoc analysis.
• Support monthly close and financial reporting.
• Work cross-functionally across U.S. and international Finance teams.
• Improve FP&A processes, reporting, controls, and automation.
• Support planning system implementation and the use of AI and digital tools to improve Finance processes.
