Placements24 is partnering with a major South African gold miner to recruit a strategic and analytical Head of FP&A. This remote-oversight role leads the finance function, shapes financial strategy, and drives performance management for the Welkom-region operation.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years of progressive FP&A and corporate finance experience, with mining sector exposure, CA(SA)/ACCA/CFA, and strong modeling, forecasting and leadership skills to deliver actionable business insights at

Formación

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CA(SA), ACCA, or CFA are highly preferred.
• 10–12 years progressive FP&A and corporate finance experience.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Mining or heavy industrial sector experience is essential.
• Strong modeling, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in Hyperion and SAP BPC; advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and implementation of annual budget, long-term strategic plans, and rolling forecasts for mining operations.
• Provide financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations on key drivers and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for decision-making, scenarios, and risk assessment.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for senior management and board.
• Drive performance management with KPIs and tracking against financial/operational goals.
• Mentor and develop FP&A team; foster excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with operations, commercial and other finance functions for alignment.
• Ensure compliance with mining sector financial regulations and reporting standards.
