Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with clients, architects, and product teams to rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions. You will lead technical engagements across enterprise integrations and modern cloud architectures from the Cognizant Consulting group.

The role emphasizes trusted advisory work, discovery workshops, and delivering measurable business outcomes with Gen AI, ML, and RAG solutions in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical consulting.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP with APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise integrations, and client-facing engagements.
• Experience translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements as a trusted technical advisor.
• Lead discovery workshops, assessments, and solution envisioning sessions.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Build AI solutions including Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG implementations.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives, ensuring production readiness and measurable outcomes.
