Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients in the United States, designing, building, and deploying AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that drive measurable outcomes.

You will lead workshops, translate business needs into scalable architectures, and own delivery across client initiatives, with a focus on rapid iteration, production readiness, and client value. This role emphasizes advisory excellence and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related client-facing roles.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure/AWS/Google Cloud with APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, enterprise integrations, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into architecture.
• Lead discovery workshops and solution envisioning to create scalable roadmaps.
• Design and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Develop Generative AI and RAG solutions, AI copilots, and intelligent workflows.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives, driving production readiness and adoption.
