Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients, rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will work with stakeholders, architects, product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to drive rapid delivery and production-ready solutions in a flexible, remote-friendly role across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, customer-facing engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong programming expertise in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience developing cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, including APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, enterprise integrations, stakeholder management, and client-facing consulting engagements.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and driving projects from concept through production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and technical requirements as a trusted advisor.
• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution envisioning to translate needs into architectures and roadmaps.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Build and implement Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG solutions including AI copilots and autonomous agents.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives with rapid iteration and production readiness.
