Job summary

Praxent is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed directly with a client (bank/lender/payments) and build AI systems that run in their business. You’ll own a workstream from problem understanding through to production, writing substantial code, and ensuring compliance.

You will work with Senior FDEs and Product Managers, integrating with legacy cores, governed data, and identity/infrastructure, to deliver robust solutions. Remote-environment roles offered with US-based clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software in client environments.
• Direct experience with LLM and agentic systems (RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evals).
• Fluency in Python and/or TypeScript, plus cloud, containers, and CI/CD.
• Experience embedding within a client environment with real-world data.
• Ability to discuss technical topics with a client’s engineers and stakeholders.
• Experience in banking, lending, or payments, incl. risk and compliance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Shipped, dependable AI in the client’s environment, meeting functional and compliance requirements and surviving handoff.
• A work stream, end to end from understanding the client’s problem to delivered, documented solution.
• AI that fits their world with clean integration to existing systems and data.
• Systems the client can run without you, including runbooks and handoffs for operations.
• Earned trust on the ground with clear communication and reliable follow-through.
