Job summary

Shimento, Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with banking/financial services expertise to work directly with clients, designing and deploying production-ready AI and automation solutions.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Product, Security, Data, Compliance, and Business teams to translate business problems into design roadmaps and delivery plans while ensuring secure, scalable integrations.

Qualifications

• 5 years in Software Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Consulting, or FDE roles.
• Mandatory Banking / Financial Services experience.
• Hands-on Python, SQL, APIs, Cloud, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience building and deploying AI/LLM applications and RAG.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with banking clients to gather requirements and solve complex technical problems.
• Design and deploy AI/LLM solutions, RAG, tool calling, evaluation, observability, and security controls.
• Build integrations using Python, SQL, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Convert business requirements into solution designs, technical roadmaps, and delivery plans.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, Compliance, and Business teams.
• Manage priorities and clearly communicate technical risks and trade-offs.
