Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to implement and optimize AI systems for enterprise clients. You will work with customer technical leaders and internal teams to operationalize AI agents, focusing on LLM-powered workflows and production data pipelines.

You will report to the FDE Manager and be based remote within the United States, with travel up to 50% or more to client sites. A strong ML/engineering background and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping solutions with large language models (LLMs) and practical understanding of the generative AI landscape (prompting, tool integration, evaluation, retrieval).
• Strong foundation in machine learning fundamentals, evaluation methods, model training/fine-tuning principles, and problem decomposition.
• Degree in CS/SE/Math/Physics/ML or equivalent practical experience required.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C++, or similar modern stacks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact AI implementation projects, owning from discovery to production deployment.
• Build and scale LLM-powered agentic workflows and production data pipelines for enterprise operations.
• Collaborate with enterprise customers to assess challenges and define AI implementation strategy.
• Drive measurable financial and operational value by delivering real-world AI solutions.
• Travel to client sites up to 50% or more for onsite workshops and deployments.
