Job summary

Stord seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer on the AI Enablement team to embed with users, map workflows end-to-end, and ship production-grade AI tooling that automates internal processes. You’ll work across CX, Finance, Ops, and Logistics to reduce manual work and unlock scalable automation.

With high autonomy and a focus on reusable patterns, you’ll build internal tooling, integrate with core systems, and drive measurable efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for production backend.
• Experience in agentic AI development that automates real workflows.
• Experience with CLI-native workflow tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Experience with LLM integration and structured outputs.
• API design and integration with internal systems.
• Observability: logging, tracing, monitoring, alerts.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL for data modeling and queries.
• Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered tooling for internal teams (CX, Finance, Ops, Logistics).
• Develop end-to-end automation pipelines from observe to ship.
• Create reusable automation modules and production-grade tooling.
• Integrate with OMS, WMS, TMS and Billing via APIs and event streams.
• Contribute to internal developer tools and dashboards.
