Job summary

Stord is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer on the AI Enablement team. You will work closely with CX, Finance, Ops, and Logistics to build agentic AI tools that automate internal workflows. This role emphasizes embedding with users, rapid validation, and scalable automation patterns.

You will own end-to-end automation from observation to production, with strong emphasis on logging, monitoring, and reliability. A strong background in AI tooling and production-grade software is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TypeScript/Node.js for backend production systems.
• Experience building AI agents that automate real workflows in production.
• Proficient with CLI-native development environments (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex).
• Hands-on experience with LLM tool usage, prompts, and structured outputs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with internal systems.
• Observability through logging, tracing, and monitoring in production.
• Advanced SQL with PostgreSQL for data modeling and queries.
• High ownership: drive features end-to-end with minimal direction.
• Maintain production-grade systems with reliability and fault handling.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Knowledge of Temporal, Prefect, Airflow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with a team and map end-to-end workflows to identify automation targets.
• Ship small automations, validate with domain experts, iterate quickly.
• Collaborate with product engineering on automations touching core systems.
• Publish reusable patterns and patterns for future automation projects.
