Job summary

Rimkus is seeking an experienced Fire Investigator to determine origin and cause of fires across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role involves on-site analysis, evidence collection, scene photography, witness interviews, and providing testimony when required.

Responsibilities include protecting evidence, preparing detailed scopes of work, and supporting subrogation and litigation with technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire investigation or related experience.
• AAS in Fire Science, Fire Investigation, Forensic Science or related field.
• IAAI-CFI certification preferred; ability to obtain IAAI-CFI within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Determine origin and cause of fires/explosions in various settings.
• Secure scene to preserve evidence.
• Conduct on-site forensic fire analysis and collect evidence.
• Prepare detailed written reports and provide testimony as needed.
• Support subrogation and litigation with technical findings.
