Qualificações

• HS diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical records department or similar setting, medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience with FMLA and disability form completion preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must type at least 50 words per minute.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Self-motivated team player with customer satisfaction focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Process FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork per guidelines.
• Communicate with patients and coordinators about disability/ FMLA paperwork in a positive manner.
• Handle medical record requests with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Complete FMLA/Disability forms using standard responses.
• Data-enter forms accurately and within turnaround times.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Provide onboarding and training to new employees as required.
• Produce periodic reports as requested.
• Provide attention and care to patients and representatives.
• Ensure compliance with client/site policies including HIPAA and labor laws.
• Support Forms, Release of Information and audit teams as needed.
