Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a remote, full-time Lead for FMLA and disability paperwork processing. You will ensure accurate forms, HIPAA compliance, and high-quality client service. You’ll interact with management to address issues and provide guidance to staff.

The role emphasizes leadership, data accuracy, and timely processing, with ongoing training and reporting responsibilities. Candidates should be organized, detail-focused, and able to multi-task in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required; degree preferred
• 2+ years in a medical records department or similar setting; medical terminology required
• Experience with FMLA and disability form completion preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated documentation and communication skills
• Strong computer software experience: Microsoft Word & Excel
• Must type 50 wpm
• Willing to learn new equipment and processes quickly
• Self-motivated, a team player and have proven customer satisfaction skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Processes FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork in accordance with client, state, and federal guidelines
• Communicates with patients and physician coordinators with a patient-centered attitude
• Processes medical record requests with HIPAA and HITECH compliance requirements
• Completes FMLA/Disability forms using standard responses for the specialty
• Data enters forms into secure processing platform and completes post-payment tasks on time
• Maintains professional relationships with all clients
• Provides onboarding and training to new employees as required
• Produces periodic reporting as requested
• Provides attention and care to patients and patient representatives
• Complies with client/site policies and HIPAA and labor regulations
• Supports Forms, Release of Information and audit teams as needed
