Job summary

Our client in the FMCG sector seeks a strategic Business Development Executive to identify and cultivate new growth opportunities. This fully remote contract role focuses on exploring markets, forging partnerships, and expanding commercial presence from anywhere in South Africa.

Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are essential for driving long-term growth and delivering impactful results.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development.
Strong understanding of the South African FMCG market dynamics.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field; MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

Identify and assess new market opportunities and potential business ventures within the FMCG sector.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Negotiate and close complex deals, including partnerships, distribution agreements, and strategic alliances.
Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify competitive advantages and opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development) to develop tailored solutions for new clients/partners.
Develop compelling business proposals and presentations.
Manage the pipeline of new business opportunities and track progress towards targets.
