Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Flight Operations Officer to manage flight planning, dispatch, and coordination from a home office. The role emphasizes 24/7 coverage, real-time monitoring, and proactive problem-solving across international operations.

You will file flight plans, monitor progress, and liaise with ATC and airports worldwide, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, on-time operations. A relevant aviation degree and remote-work setup are required.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in flight dispatch, flight operations, or air traffic control.
• Proficiency in flight planning software and flight tracking systems.
• Strong understanding of international aviation regulations (ICAO, FAA, EASA).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• High-speed internet connection and a dedicated, distraction-free home office setup.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for 24/7 coverage.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Must possess or be able to obtain relevant operational certifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file flight plans, considering weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and operational requirements.
• Monitor flight progress in real-time, providing essential support to flight crews and dispatching teams.
• Coordinate with air traffic control agencies, airports, and other relevant stakeholders worldwide.
• Manage operational disruptions, such as weather delays or technical issues, and implement contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation regulations and company policies for all flights.
• Communicate effectively with flight crews, providing them with necessary updates and information.
• Maintain detailed flight logs and operational records.
• Participate in a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 operational coverage.
• Continuously assess and improve operational efficiency and safety protocols.
• Utilize advanced flight planning and communication software systems.
