Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Fleet Asset Manager to oversee the acquisition, servicing, utilization, maintenance and disposal of company equipment assets across the U.S. This remote role blends budget oversight with vendor coordination to ensure safe, reliable assets support of business objectives.

Candidates should have three years of fleet management experience or a college degree plus business experience, with strong MS Office skills and the ability to operate in unstructured environments.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret company policies, procedures, regulations and strategies.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize, organize and complete multiple tasks on tight timelines.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and change as business conditions evolve.
• Three years of fleet management or equivalent supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating and capital budgets to achieve cost-per-mile targets and fleet sizing.
• Collaborate with departments to align fleet execution with business objectives.
• Coordinate with leadership, operators, vendors and support teams to resolve fleet issues promptly.
• Identify underutilized assets and determine redeployment, retirement or disposal actions.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review repair requests with contracted networks and drive improvements via KPIs.
• Monitor warranties/recalls and pursue cost recovery where applicable.
