Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Fleet/Asset Manager to plan, direct, and optimize the acquisition, servicing, utilization, and disposal of company equipment assets across the U.S. You will work remotely, coordinating with vendors, operations, and leadership to meet performance and safety objectives.

Responsibilities include budget management, asset redeployment, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to improve fleet metrics and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, regulations, strategies and directions.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and accomplish multiple tasks with limited timelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to ambiguity and evolving business conditions.
• College degree or significant business experience in fleet management.
• Experience supervising a medium-size fleet organization and working with vehicle repairs.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating and capital budgets to meet cost targets; analyze data and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with departments to align fleet execution with business objectives.
• Communicate with leadership, operations, vendors, and support teams to resolve fleet issues promptly.
• Identify underutilized fleet assets and redeploy or retire as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, preventive maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with contracted call centers to review repairs and authorize maintenance.
• Monitor fleet performance with KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Track warranties and recalls to ensure cost recovery.
