Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Fleet Dispatch Manager to oversee a driver network in a fully remote, South Africa-based operation. You will optimize routes, schedule drivers, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining clear communication with drivers and clients.

The role demands leadership of a remote team, innovation in fleet strategies, and strong problem-solving skills to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management, dispatch, or logistics coordination.
• Ability to lead a remote team and work independently.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable home office setup with stable internet.
• Experience in the Welkom, Free State logistics landscape is a plus but not mandatory due to the remote nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the daily activities of a remote fleet of delivery drivers.
• Optimize delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor driver performance, adherence to schedules, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Utilize dispatch software and tracking systems to oversee fleet operations in real-time.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions, support, and feedback.
• Liaise with clients and customer service teams to resolve any delivery-related issues or inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and delivery statuses.
• Manage vehicle availability and coordinate maintenance schedules remotely with service providers.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet performance and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure all safety procedures and regulatory requirements are met by the fleet drivers.
