Qualifications

• 1 year of experience compiling, analyzing and reporting on financial data to ensure effective accounting of funds.
• 1 year of experience ensuring compliance of financial transactions with budgets, agreements, grants or contracts, and laws.
• Six months' experience researching and analyzing accounting transactions to reconcile discrepancies and maintain an audit trail.
• Coursework/training/work experience in staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes financial transactions and records to determine accuracy and adherence to budgets, agreements, grants or contracts, and laws.
• Analyzes, reconciles, and consolidates data to the general ledger from journals and documents; takes trial balances and makes corrections.
• Reviews financial transactions, classification and codes to ensure accuracy and recommends changes.
• Maintains internal controls and applies accounting principles and standards.
• Provides advice and technical guidance on fiscal matters.
• Compiles and analyzes financial health reports for budgeting and planning.
