Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and support the Firm's CMMS and its supporting infrastructure.

The role spans three-layer geospatial (Esri ArcGIS), work-management, and AI-powered platform, with each engineer owning components end to end. You will work with the Lead Software Engineer and Director of Engineering Technology in a remote-first setting, travel ~30% to project sites and offices.

Formación

• Technical background in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, and/or 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools to ship faster.
• Strong backend and data fundamentals (Python and PostgreSQL) and comfort with REST/JSON APIs.
• Versatile generalist willing to work across the stack wherever the team needs (e.g. frontend, backend).
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Interest in highway/infrastructure or field-operations software preferred.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written; English proficiency.
• Background checks and adherence to company policies required.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test, and ship software components end to end.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and engineering standards.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support releases and deployments.
• Support provisioning and operation of cloud compute resources.
• Build and maintain integration with Esri ArcGIS, ERP, SharePoint, and SSO.
• Develop AI/agent features and support deployment of AI inference capability into operations.
• Apply secure-coding practices, encryption, and audit requirements.
• Write and maintain automated tests; meet performance and reliability standards.
• Participate in on-call production support and incident resolution.
