Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Sr. Manager of Claims to provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of the comprehensive claims portfolio within Risk Management.

The role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle across Workers' Compensation, Property, General Liability, and Professional Liability, coordinating with executives, internal teams, and external partners. The position emphasizes analytical rigor, operational excellence, and collaboration across Finance, Legal, IT, Real Estate, and Operations to

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of claims processes and handling both litigated and non-litigated matters.
• Understanding of reserve setting, claim finances, and loss run data analytics.
• Strong knowledge of state or federal regulations regarding insured claims.

Responsibilities

• Owns evaluation and investigation of all incidents, claims, and allegations.
• Leads litigation and partner management with external adjusters and defense counsel.
• Drives strategic vision for the claims function and fosters continuous improvement.
