Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking a Classification & Compensation Analyst to support a municipal study. This role is remote-first with occasional client travel and will contribute to salary surveys, pay equity analysis, and proposal narratives for public-sector engagements.

Responsibilities include refining job descriptions, analyzing market data, and drafting classification recommendations for client projects such as the City of Myrtle Beach, SC proposal.

Qualifications

• Experience in classification and compensation analysis.
• Experience with salary-survey methods.
• HR data analysis skills.
• Willingness to work on a 1099/project-basis with travel.

Responsibilities

• Review and refine job descriptions for classification accuracy and consistency.
• Administer salary surveys and analyze market data against peer sets.
• Perform internal-equity and pay-compression analysis.
• Draft classification recommendations and supporting analytical tables.
• Contribute analyst qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned.
