Job summary

Travelers Insurance in Arlington, VA area seeks an experienced Claims Adjuster to handle 1st party property claims of moderate severity. This role may be 100% remote and may require relocation to the territory.

Ideal locations include Chantilly, VA, Manassas, VA, Arlington, VA, Washington, DC, and surrounding areas. You will inspect losses, prepare estimates, negotiate settlements within authority, and maintain accurate claim files while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of Xactimate estimating system.
• 2+ years of outside property claim handling experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Handle 1st party property claims of moderate severity.
• Perform field inspections and prepare estimates.
• Use advanced tech tools for claim processing.
• Assess damages, coverage and liability.
• Negotiate settlements within authority.
• Prepare denial letters and complex correspondence.
• Maintain diary system and manage file inventory.
• Support CAT response and potential deployment.
