We are scaling quickly and seeking a Managing Director, Tax Investor Coverage to grow our network of buyers and shape tax credit strategy. The role reports to the Head of Tax Investor Coverage and leads a team of junior professionals, while helping Crux expand across utilities, real estate, and industrials

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in tax, accounting, legal practice, and/or tax advantaged investing.
• Proven track record building and owning long-term client relationships with tax and finance teams at large corporations from scratch.
• Experience managing and developing junior team members.
• Comfortable and confident with cold outreach, conference participation and public speaking.
• Strong collaborative and team orientation.
• Unrivaled relationship building skills; you build trust quickly and communicate clearly.
• Excited about a rapid-growth environment with autonomy and flexibility.
• Willing to travel, 25%.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required or willingness to obtain under Crux’s broker-dealer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop long-term client relationships with tax and finance leaders at the largest F250 tax credit buyers and tax equity investors across utilities, real estate, and industrials.
• Build net new relationships for Crux through conferences, networking, outreach, partnerships, and inbound.
• Speak on webinars and panels to establish market leadership.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients build their tax credit investing strategy.
• Partner with external buyer advisors including legal and tax to navigate complex transactions.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior professionals, overseeing development, workflow, and quality of execution.
• Shape Crux's tax credit buyer strategy and prioritization of segments, partnerships, and go-to-market.
• Act as an internal SME on renewable tax credits and contribute to new partner offerings.
• Champion creation and adoption of intellectual property.
• Collaborate with product and customer success teams to maximize Crux platform value for tax and finance teams.
