Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Head of KYC within Central Compliance to own the global KYC strategy across Coinbase’s regulated entities.

You will lead a global team, drive policy development, and ensure scalable design aligning with evolving regulatory requirements. You will partner with Legal, Compliance, and business units to deliver enterprise-wide KYC programs, and report KPIs and program health to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in KYC programs at financial institutions, including direct people management.
• Deep knowledge of global AML/CTF/sanctions regulations and jurisdictional adaptation.
• Proven track record building and scaling global KYC programs from design to execution.
• Experience as senior escalation point for KYC/onboarding, advising cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program across regulated entities.
• Lead KYC professionals across second-line compliance; set performance standards and develop talent.
• Drive KYC issue management, corrective actions, and systemic enhancements globally.
• Partner with sales, product, engineering to design KYC initiatives for new product launches.
• Serve as Directly Responsible Individual for regulatory reporting and KPI reporting to leadership.
• Shape interpretation and implementation of global KYC requirements with Legal and Compliance.
