Job summary

Edmentum is seeking a Director, State Adoptions to lead the strategic direction for state markets across the United States. You will oversee a team of state program specialists, ensuring alignment with product roadmap, policy insights, and revenue growth.

You will collaborate with Product, Sales, Legal, Marketing, and education departments to win in state markets, manage multi-year adoption pipelines, and influence executive decisions with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years in K-12 edtech, curriculum publishing, or state policy; 8+ years in state adoptions/government relations.
• Experience leading multi-state adoption submissions and navigating HQIM and state rubrics.
• Knowledge of K-12 standards, instructional design, and curriculum evaluation.
• Strong relationships with state/local departments of education; navigating policy environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive Edmentum's state adoption and approval strategy for multi-year pipelines and submissions.
• Serve as the enterprise's leading voice on state adoption policy; advise executive leadership.
• Build and sustain cross-functional partnerships to align programs with product roadmap and revenue goals.
• Design and improve systems, workflows, and tools enabling the state programs team to scale.
• Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing state program team.
• Convert adoption outcomes and market data into actionable insights for product enhancements.
